What began as a very limited refresh of a couple interior pages on Sacramento architectural firm Lionakis’ website became, as each subsequent thread was pulled, a full-fledged site wide redesign. To do the project proper justice, I needed to take a global view of things and create a web experience in league with the many kinds of beautiful projects Lionakis builds. Crisp and minimal, but never plain, the site (designed for Three29) is designed to echo the feel of sheer glass and steel and other materials present in their work. I employed color-coded tagging and sorting and worked to enhance and spotlight their gorgeous location photography while minding to never get in the way of it.
